Dead Letters Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Dead Letters app and this website, both provided by Nest Studios LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Dead Letters, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The App Store license. Dead Letters is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement governs your license to the app.

2. For entertainment only. Dead Letters is a game. It does not contact the dead, predict the future or reveal hidden truths. Every spirit, story and answer is fiction written into the app. Names, characters and events are invented, and any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental. Do not rely on anything the app says to make decisions about your life, health, money or relationships.

3. Age. Dead Letters is intended for players aged 13 and over. It contains ghost stories, references to murder and mild frightening themes.

4. Your wellbeing. Dead Letters is not a mental-health or crisis service. If you are thinking about suicide or self-harm, please contact a crisis line now: call or text 988 in the US, or find a free helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

5. Acceptable use. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app or its content, except as the law expressly allows.

6. Ownership. The app, including its artwork, stories, sounds and code, belongs to Nest Studios LLC and is protected by copyright and other laws. "Dead Letters" and its logo are our marks.

7. No warranty. The app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that saved progress will never be lost.

8. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Nest Studios LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or this website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app, if any. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

9. Apple. These terms are between you and Nest Studios LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Changes. We may update these terms. If we do, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
